librayacht Posted January 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2011 We normally do not bother with cruise insurance but we have a reservation on Serenade in early October leaving from Puerto Rico. This is in the middle of hurricane season and we felt that the air travel from Florida to Puerto Rico or the cruise could be affected by the weather. Does anyone have any recommendations as to a cruise insurance company that will cover hurricane effects or is it better to use RCI insurance? franl24fan Posted January 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2011 I have not found any private insurance that covers "acts of god". At least with the RCI insurance you get a 75% credit (not refund) if you cancel for any reason. I felt this was a better option, but maybe someone else has found something better.
