will773 Posted February 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2011 We will be in Ft. Lauderdale at the end of February and are wondering if there is any sort of ship tour for the Oasis or the Allure while they are in dock.
HoopsandYoYo Posted February 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Security issues probably would not allow tours, but I don't know that for a fact.

Lynnees Posted February 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2011 To be considered for a ship tour you must contact the company in advance. They are not always available but can be had if booked in advance.
ChipLondon Posted February 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Lots of people actually do get ship "day visitor" passes, these are nornally travel agents or party organisors. I have also known of friends being able to get on board, but that is only on the basis of being listed a a friend of a sponsoring crew member. It is very unlikely that anyone without such connections would be able to get a day pass.
Lynnees Posted February 14, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2011 I would also point out that Princess is making a business of this now. For $35 you can have a ships visit while in port. I would think it won't be long before others see this way to make money and jump all over it.

Can you contact a travel agent and ask for this kind of access, just for a day?
Lynnees Posted February 14, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2011 You really would have to be booked with a TA to be able to request this but you can also try contacting the cruiseline directly.
