Azura or star princess?

We are a couple in our mid fifties and have enjoyed several cruises on The Grand Princess and Sea Princess.

We are looking to cruise the Med again in early September and can not decide between Azura and Star Princess.

How do these two ships compare?

The Azura is comparable to the Crown Princess and her sisters (they're basically the same ship). You'll find basically 500 more passengers on the Azura than the Star Princess with the same basic public spaces.

We have booked Star Princess - the deal breaker for us was direct charter flights from and back to Manchester, we will be in Venice quicker and easier than enduring the long road journey to Southampton - add to that 4 days sailing to / from the med if you sail from Southampton, done it once and dont want to repeat it again.
