Marriot Marina ft. lauderdale

Has anyone every stayed at the Marriot Marina in Ft. Lauderdale. I will be arriving May 5 and wondered if there is a shuttle to the pier. If there is, is it better to take advantage of the shuttle or take a taxi. How much would a taxi cost and how do you get a taxi? Also, I am aware there is no transportation to the hotel from the airport. Does anyone know how much a taxi may cost from the airport to the hotel? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Getting a little nervous about the details.

The Marriott does offer a shuttle to the pier. However, it's often easier to just catch a cab. Cab should be less than $10. Just ask the doorman and he will call one for you when you're ready. However, the shuttle is reliable if you prefer.

 

From the airport to the hotel, cab should also be $10ish. The hotel, port and airport are all quite close to one another, so it's easy logistically.

 

Relax - you have a terrific hotel here which will take good care of you!
