Bobbie63 Posted March 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2005 Whenever we go to a city that is new to us, we like to go on the "Hop On - Hope Off" bus. Can anyone tell me if there is one in Santiago?

A J Theodore Posted March 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2005 Last time I was there, there was no such bus in Santiago, Chile. Public transit, however, is generally good and can get you anywhere but not very many of the drivers will speak any English. Plus, Santiago traffic, especially at rush hour, can be very slow. Several subway lines criss-cross the city and make getting around fairly easy and go near most places a tourist would want to go. You will find that most sights for touring are in the center city area anyway - Downtown, Cerro Sta. Lucia, Cerro San Cristobal (with the enoteca, funicular, etc.).
