Music for reception

Recommended Posts

So our wedding is on the Carnival Freedom on May 1st. We're really getting down into the small stuff now.

So as far as the music is concerned, we wanna pick as much as possible. First dance, cake cutting, garter toss, etc... We booked a DJ for the reception.

We were told we could bring in some music but that it had to be on an original CD. No burned copies. Which sucks, cause I'd rather pick and choose on itunes or something and burn it than have to buy a whole cd for one song.

Has anyone else had any experience with this? Anyone bring a burned cd anyways?

I don't know this for a fact, because my wedding isn't until June 11th, but several other posters have stated that the brought burnt CDs and they played them. I'd bring back up CDs just in case, but I'm hoping that they will play burnt CDs as noted by some of the other previous wedding couples because one of my songs I can't find on a CD in the edited version, and they only way I can play it at the wedding is edited.
