dolphins: swim vs encounter for spectator question

Hope someone can help...,leaving in a week on the freedom . 6 of us going,

5 of us want to do the SWIM with the dolphins and my mom who is 72 does not wish to go in the water, but wants to watch us all.

 

How does it work once you are there? If she pays for the "encounter" ( $50.00 cheaper) , will she still be able to be close enough to see us ?

 

or are the 2 areas completely apart?
