Confused about OBC'S

I booked under the past guest rate and our balcony dropped $40pp. I called carnival and was told I can not receive an OBC due to our final payment date has passed. They did offer to upgrade me so I just took it. Did they get me by offering a upgrade instead of a OBC??????? :confused:

I thought that was the policy if you didn't book ES and it was after the final payment date. I don't think the person has lied to you.

nope they didnt get you. NO OBC's after final payment if not booked ES.
