There is NOTHING on Anthol island but some old Army trucks and broken machinery. The tours that take you out that way stop either just off the jagged coral coast at the Sea Gardens, or along one of the tiny slivers of beach that dot the coastline. There is NOTHING else to see or experience on the island.

The island is only accessible by tours.

Not much good snorkeling on your own, the reefs near to the beach in Nassau are pretty much depleted due to over snorkeling, jetskis and other development.

There are some areas on the east end of Cabbage Beach near the Ocean Club that used to be good, not sure if that's still true, since there is so much construction and leaching in that area these days. Lime from the construction concrete has been leaching into the water and destroying reefs and fishing. (isnt's Atlantis wonderful).

I suggest you take a snorkeling tour from the ship, and enjoy one of the sea gardens, either at Anthol Island or Rose Island. These are still vibrant and teaming with fishes.
