Review of Oscar's tour of 3/3/05.

Hi,

 

I just returned from my cruise on the Brilliance of the Seas and we booked Oscar for Costa Rica. It was the highlight of my cruise. Oscar is very accommodting and laid back and will do anything you want. You just let him know your interests for your tour. Our tour was as follows:

 

Drove down a main road that is known to have howler monkeys in the trees and yes we did stop as there was a family of 5 howler monkeys.

 

We stopped at a beach.

 

On our way to the banana plantation he stopped on the road side at a friends where we got to hold a baby howler monkey and a sloth. This was the best experience. The baby monkey was up in the tree and the minute he knew someone was walking toward the tree he would rush down and jump into your arms. We also got to try many fruits of Costa Rica. Their apples are a cross between an apple and a pear. We tried a coconut, baby bananas, the cocoa bean plant.

 

We had a one hour tour in a pontoon type boat along one of the canals. We saw howler monkeys, a crocodile and a few different birds.

 

We stopped at a fabulous restaurant for lunch. Very nice and clean. The view was absolutely spetacular.

 

We stopped in town to purchase coffee from Oscar's friend. 2 lbs. for $3.

 

I was a little skeptical about booking Oscar as there just seemed to be too many posts and I wondered if Oscar was really as good as everyone was saying. Well he is. We had a blast and this tour really gives you a feel of what Costa Rica is all about.

 

I would highly recommend it.
