jaybird from SC Posted March 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2011 Been looking at sailing on the Dream and would like to know more about "Cove" balconies.. I understand they are on a lower deck and it seems they are directly under the lifeboats? Anyone want to share how they liked these cabins? Thanks
JennLuvs2Cruise Posted March 25, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2011 Hi OP! :) So my family & I sailed the Dream last June.. My mom & brother both had cove balconies located on Deck 2 mid-ship. I visited my mom's frequently, and loved the cabin. The cabin has 2 twin size beds that can turn into one big bed, and also has a sofa pull out bed, and a table. The balcony itself is amazing. You are 30 feet above the water line so it's really awesome watching the waves & looking out into ocean. Life boats can be found above, but in my opinion, I feel like that even gives more privacy! I'd definitely recommend a cove balcony to anyone! The views are really great. And I know many think it would be loud on Deck 2 since you are 2 floors above the galley, but my mom & brother never complained about noise, or even motion. RWolver672 Posted March 25, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2011 Here's a picture of them from the outside of the ship. This will show you how close to the water you are. This picture was taken from the pier next to the ship. http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2987906950030186251tqOhqh
