Something to consider when purchasing insurance

After reading and reading and reading on these boards (what a wealth of information!), I just bought insurance through CSA for myself, my family and my in-laws for our cruise in June.

Just wanted to point out that when I was reading the small print on the quote, I noticed that the medical coverage on the CSA Custom Luxe plan (which covers pre-existing conditions as long as you buy it before the final payment date) had a policy limit of $250,000. When I went to purchase the products over the phone, I had the representative price out how much the policies would cost if I bought eight individual policies instead and the difference was less than $20 total. This way we are each covered up to the full amount of each item that has a policy limit rather than having to split it up between us.

It ended up costing approximately $800 for eight people for a 10 day cruise which was still cheaper than Royal Caribbean's coverage that barely covered anything.

Happy travels. Here's to hoping I never have figure out if their claim service is any good!
