Can anyone give me suggestions for hotels in SFO that won't break the bank? I would like to stay at Fishermans Wharf but am not opposed to other locations. Thanks a bunch.

Hi. Fisherman's wharf is usually pricey. Try hotwire.com. And try the union square area (my fav. spot in the city/ I'm a bay area, CA. native). Of course, my fav. hotel is the St. Francis, but the Maxwell hotel is very close by and alot cheaper. Good luck!

We stayed at the Cow Hollow Motor Inn on Lombard St. We could walk to Fisherman's Wharf and it was very reasonable. I would stay there again in a minute. About a block or 2 away is Chestnut St. which has some nice restaurants and shops.
