Which Vatican ticket?

Hello.

 

We'll be taking a private car/tour from the Civitavecchia port to Rome in late May and we've also contracted to have a private guide for the Vatican, etc. visit.

 

Thus, this may be a dumb question but..... Should I just purchase the most inexpensive Vatican/Sistine Chapel entrance tickets? The others seem to come with a group guide or their own private guide but we'll already have one.

Yes, you just need to purchase the basic admission ticket if you will have your own guide.

 

Make sure you consult with your tour arranger about the timing of the tickets; you have to select a time when ordering.

You want to purchase the tickets that guarantee you a time.

I purchased on the Vatican's website. We picked a time, and showed up with our ticket. We were ushered to the line with no waiting versus the line with 100's of people There are two lines for the Museum (Sistine Chapel). You want to avoid the long line and long wait!
