teacherplus Posted April 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 3, 2011 Where would we get the best lobster roll in Boston? Thank you!
138east Posted April 3, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 3, 2011 Here's an older article from Boston Magazine - http://www.bostonmagazine.com/restaurants/articles/tails_of_the_city/ and another from CitySearch - http://boston.citysearch.com/list/207321. You're going to be overwhelmed by the choices.
Bobed1927 Posted May 2, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 2, 2011 Is there a good place (maybe Yankee Lobster or Neptune Oyster) for lobster roll near Black Falcon pier? I can't walk far.
sail7seas Posted May 3, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2011 Get a taxi and go to Legal Sea Food. There are several locations in Boston and one is quite near Black Falcon.
Donder1 Posted May 6, 2011 #5 Share Posted May 6, 2011 Don't go to Legal Seafoods. It is a chain. Come to Maine for a real Lobster Roll! :)
138east Posted May 6, 2011 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2011 Well, if you're in Boston, Maine is not an option for that day. If the weather is good and you want a "clam shack" atmosphere on the water, take a very short cab ride to The Barking Crab 88 Sleeper St., 617-426-2722. This is the way lobster rolls should be eaten: out of a plastic basket while sitting at a waterfront picnic table. Though it looks like a flattened panini, the Barking Crab’s roll—a French baguette stuffed with shredded lettuce and topped with respectable chunks of mayo-laced meat and a dash of vinegar—is as authentic as its setting. A pile of pickles, coleslaw, and crispy fries adds to the beachside feel. (market price, about $16) 4 out of 5 stars.
SailBadtheSinner Posted May 7, 2011 #7 Share Posted May 7, 2011 There is a Barking Crab in Newport, RI. It is located ESE of the tender dock, across America's Cup Ave. Less than a 5 minute walk from the tender dock. SBtS
