What should we do?

We are in port from 11:00 - 5:30 on the Carnival Liberty. We are considering haging around at the shops/beach/Margaritaville and then doing the Discover Grand Turk and Governor's Beach excursion through Carnival at 1:30 or 2:00. How does that sound? Has anyone been to Governor's beach recently? Would we be happier just staying around the cruise center? I've heard the beach at Margaritaville is extremely crowded, and I was hoping Governor's beach would be a little less crowded. Thanks for your help!
