What time do the stores close?

We'll be in St. Thomas on a Tuesday and have booked a full day sail with Rhumumba (not sure if I spelled that correctly) However - we'd still like to shop after the sail......we do not depart until 9pm. Anyone know what time the stores close?

If you are looking for the stores to be open at night, you are out of luck.

 

I think most close around 5:00.

On weekdays the stores in Havensight and downtown all close around 5pm or thereabouts.

 

I was told that on Tuesdays the Havensight shops stay open until 6, sometimes 7pm to accomodate some late staying ships. Sounds like your ship... so you might get a couple hours of shopping in at Havensight.

We're sailing with the Rumbaba that day - and she has assured me we'll be back by four. I really don't need to "shop" just want to stock up on the Liquors that are so reasonable. Do grocery stores sell "liquors?" (Baileys - Frangellica(SP?) that wonderful chocolate/rasberry liquor - excetra? That's what I'm looking for.

The KMart which is near Havensite carries a full selection of liquor. Their prices are some of the best on the island and they will package it up in carry along boxes for your convenience.
