We always buy a transportation (bus/ferry) pass and use this. I don't know the cost for just individual tickets (this might be cheaper if just going to the beach and back), but right when you get off the ship in the terminal there is the info desk where they sell the tickets and I am sure they can tell you this info. Or someone on CC can answer?

 

Don't know how often but whenever we have left the ship there is always one or two "special" buses lined up and waiting. You can also ask any bus driver and they will help you...they are very nice...just remember to say Good Morning or Good Afternoon first.
