TrainBonds Posted May 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2011 OK, a really silly question to show how I over-plan and rehearse things in my head. At restaurants in Athens, if there is an open outdoor table, do you just go and sit there, or do you wait to be seated (as you generally would in the US)? I am talking about the casual type restaurants that you would find wandering the streets. As you can see, I don't get out much.
Fblack Posted May 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2011 At similar restaurants in the Plaka, we just sort of wave to a waiter as we sit down at a table outside. Never had any problems.
janina Posted May 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2011 Most of the times if you look even interested in the restaurant they will come to you and try to seat you. Otherwise just seat yourself's they will not care, and will be there shortly to serve you.:)
