foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #26 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Best meal of the night - Miss Em's adult chicken dinner from the AM. I should have ordered that.. My starter.. what I orderd.. Bresaloa Carpaccio with New Baby Potatoes... what I was served, cold deli meat with potato salad. It was cold deli meat, with a scope of potato salad on top. Pan seared Sole.. really? do you see any searing on this boxed frozen fish? It was SOGGY. UGG. The sauce and veggies were very good. I left the fish. My husbands starter.. it was good. My husbands main. He said it was good, not great but good. My husbands cheese cake.. might have been really good if they had of added the cheese... I gave up after my 2nd and did not bother to order anything else. The veggies did not cut is, so we went up to WJ. It was NICE! Candles, Table Cloths, a nice selection of foods. I really enjoyed it. Now, we did not eat alot, but I did try to get a few things in.. and get a few pix..

The Shrimp and Egg Salad roll that I read about.. and it IS good! We had a pullman tonight, cruise compass (still no kids one) and no ice.
foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #28 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Day 3 - Sea Day, M & M, Formal night. Miss Em's WJ breakfast. She loved the shrimp and eggs. Miss Em had a blast in the kids club (we got their at 11 because we did not know it opened at 9.. so we signed her in for lunch (NOTE - totally NOT worth the money on a TA Sea day). We paid the full price, for two hours care, with a drink, sandwich, and a fruit. At 12 noon, the ships time went forward for ONE hour, so Miss Em was in the kids club from 1pm to 2pm. We only did that ONCE. Meet and Mingle
foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #29 Share Posted May 28, 2011 The pool deck had a carving class, we missed most of it because we were at the M&M. We had lunch in the MD... I was looking forward to the Tutti Salad I had read about on CC.. In the end, it was okay. Not great, not good, but just okay. But I think I felt rushed in my selections, as it was the first day at sea, dining room lunch and it was packed. I never had it again.

foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #31 Share Posted May 28, 2011 I am a hobby cake decorator, so I made a quick stop by the Cupcake Cupboard.. It was cute, and they had a few things, I wanted to buy, but by the time I got around to it, they were charging VAT, so I skipped it.
foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #32 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Formal night.. (no ice.. ) I bet these would have been really nice with that bottle of champs we got in our Romance Pkg.. I will never order a GOLD pkg wine again from RCCL. In fact, I will skip the wine pkg totally I think. We ended up dreading the wine. They never seemed to have our selection, we were always disappointed.. and leaving over half empty bottles on our table.. and they would just keep coming back.. night after night..
foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #33 Share Posted May 28, 2011 well, really just cause I have space.. on a side note, Miss Em ate dinner with us in the MDR all but two nights I think? She did super well, and loved it. The waitstaff are great with kids, and she loved looking out the window at the sea. (because don't forget we don't have a children's menu for her to play with.. ) and I love this pix..

foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #36 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Day 4 - At Sea Guess what? Its 7:45am, and the Cruise Compass is WRONG! There is no Dreamworks breakfast.. a very sad little girl. (more on review of dreamworks breakfast later). Now, I LOVED breakfast in the MDR. LOVED it. But my Dh feels that you did not get the "same selection" as you did in WJ.. so I did not get to go often enough IMPO.. So much for the lack of selection.. right? foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #37 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Let me show you more lack of selection.. needless to say, my DH has breakfast issues.. :p
foxesden1 Posted May 28, 2011 Author #38 Share Posted May 28, 2011 We GOT IT! WE DID IT! We saw a KIDS MENU! Em got to play, draw color, and eat kids french toast.. (this is AFTER she ate that WHOLE plate of breakfast from the buffet.. she can really pack it in. Breakfast is her best meal of the day and she can run for HOURS on it! I have no idea what David had, for all I know he might still be wondering around the MDR going over the lack of breakfast selections..

foxesden1 Posted May 29, 2011 Author #46 Share Posted May 29, 2011 DH Breakfast.. Review of the Dreamworks breakfast. 7 out of 10 We booked three before boarding, went to two, and canceled the last one. Now, Dreamworks is newish to Liberty, and it was a TA sailing, so not to many kids. BUT 8am, when we are changing an hour ever day is just not the right time. So many families no showed because the kids were sleeping in. I think 9am would have been a better choice, if not later. Also, it was held in the back corner of the MDR. I think the private dining room off the MDR would have been perfect. More private and less disturbing to the other dining room guests. When you go online to pre book the dreamworks breakfast, it shows a $0.00 charge to it. Which makes me think, they are going to charge for this sooner then later. This is no disney show, and would not be worth any sort of up charge. Maybe if a Photo was included, I would pay $5.00 per person. Photos - the ships photographers only came ONCE out of the two breakfasts we did. The 2nd was a no show. We canceled the last show, because in truth it was just not worth getting out of bed for. foxesden1 Posted May 29, 2011 Author #50 Share Posted May 29, 2011 Some shopping on board the LOS. One thing that is very cool about a TA is seeing the ship transform from a Caribbean Cruise to a European Cruise. Sales were GREAT and the change over was neat to watch.
