2kiddomommy Posted May 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Please tell me about the pools on Freedom of the Seas (RCCL). I know there is a splash area for baby's in swim diapers.... Would my just turned 4 year old son be allowed in there as well? As for the other pools.... tell me what is available for my 4 year old son. He is not afraid of the water, but also does not know how to swim in deep water. Is there a lazy river? Do they allow water wings or life jackets? Is there a hot tub he can go into for short periods of time? My husband or I will definitely be with him at all times, so how fun is this area for adults? Any pics would be great! Thank you so much....
mrspjotter Posted May 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2011 We did FOS last Feb with our kids aged 9,6,6 at the time and they adored the h20 zone - there is a tiny splash pool for little ones and a lazy river which on looking back at my pics I think it says 3ft 6in deep. The rest of it is amazing with jets and water shooters and there is definitely one hot tub there which we spent a lot of the time in. I've got some pics but can't work out how to post them so if you give me an e-mail i'm happy to pass on. In comparison we went on Azura this year and the 2 main pools are 1.8m at the shallow end  - they do have a tiny splash pool for toddlers but my kids were too big for that! beachchick Posted May 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2011 No, your 4-y/o will not be allowed in the baby splash zone as the rules prohibit it. The baby splash area is only for children who are not potty trained and who are wearing swim diapers. beachchick
cb at sea Posted May 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted May 30, 2011 Water wings or lifejacket will be fine, but the kid's pool isn't THAT deep! Just don't take him in the "adult only" hot-tub!
