seaofwonder Posted July 8, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Here in FL, when you have a disabled placard you get free parking. Is this true in NOLA? I checked the port website and didn't see anything....but thought someone here might have a personal experience. TIA.
rvsullivan Posted July 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2011 I found this on the New Orleans cruise line parking site: Disabled Parking Designated disabled parking spots are provided at the Port of New Orleans. You must have a disabled placard or license plate to qualify. Unfortunately, disabled parking is not free in New Orleans, as it is at some other cruise ports. If you take advantage of a hotel parking special, you may park in a disabled space during your stay (with proper documentation). Most hotels ask that you move your car to another spot while you are cruising, to make the handicapped spot available to those who are currently staying at the hotel. $16 per day same as everyone else. Sorry.
