atlmagic Posted March 21, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2005 I have a medical condition (Crohn's Disease) that makes having a bathtub on vacation more than just a luxury. Does anyone know which ships have real tubs and not just shower-ettes?
sa7776 Posted March 21, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Can only give you my experiences. Category 11 and 12 on Conquest class has standard size whirlpool tubs in suites. On the holiday class only the category 12 cabins have tubs to my knowledge. I would imagine Cat 12 on Fantasy Class does but I am not sure about Cat. 11, never stayed in one of them. Don't know about spirit class? Perhaps someone else can help you out on that.

I Live 4 Cruises Posted March 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Does anyone know if Victory has a bathtub?
kimberlys Posted March 21, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 21, 2005 I know that the Spirit Class Category 11 Suites have the bathtub/whirlpool.
mnsawyer Posted March 21, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Triumph cat 11 - bath tub. I doubt any rooms on any ship that is not suites, have tubs. My question is does the Glory shower have a place to hold your things - shampoo, razors, etc., also is the a lip of some kind to make it easier to shave your legs (sorry guys...I know...too much information!) justcruzinbye Posted March 21, 2005 #7 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Cat 11 and 12 on the Elation, Celebration, and the Ecstasy all have whirlpool bathtubs.
Heidi101 Posted March 21, 2005 #8 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Category 12 on Pride and Fantasy. I wouldn't dare get in the tub on Fantasy. It was gross!!! LOL
KandiceA Posted March 21, 2005 #9 Share Posted March 21, 2005 cat 12 on fantasy has a whirlpool- ours wasn't the prettiest, but it wasn't gross, but still I didn't use it...
TXRoo Posted March 21, 2005 #10 Share Posted March 21, 2005 Cat 11 and 12 on the Elation, Celebration, and the Ecstasy all have whirlpool bathtubs. Cat. 11 on the Fantasy class ships do NOT have tubs. We had a Cat. 11 balcony suite on the Ecstasy and they only have a shower.
Heidi101 Posted March 22, 2005 #11 Share Posted March 22, 2005 cat 12 on fantasy has a whirlpool- ours wasn't the prettiest, but it wasn't gross, but still I didn't use it... I was pretty surprised myself. The side of the tub was literally broken. It was close to falling off. The inside of ours was stained real bad. I'm sure all of the rooms aren't the same. We just happened to get that one. It was okay since I prefer showers.
NoNoNanette Posted March 22, 2005 #12 Share Posted March 22, 2005 We were just on the GRAND PRINCESS out of Galveston. We enjoyed a "MINI SUITE" with a tub. You might want to consider another cruise line. I know that our mini-suite was alot less money than a Carnival Category 11 or 12! Good luck in your search.:)
popcorngal Posted March 22, 2005 #13 Share Posted March 22, 2005 The Cat. 11 and Cat. 12 on the Spirit class ships all have wonderful whirlpool tub/shower combinations, with sliding glass doors. Here is a link to a picture if you would like to see what they look like.http://client.webshots.com/photo/293301983/293321802RMHeFK

KimNLyssCruisin Posted March 23, 2005 #16 Share Posted March 23, 2005 Hi... I would recommend another line which has a lot more ships where a bathtub is pretty standard. I agree with an earlier posting stating they are less expensive than Carnival category 11 and 12s! I sailed on the Celebrity Century -- in a suite. Had a great, clean whirlpool bathtub with private butler service! Happy Cruisin!
Ravegan Posted March 23, 2005 #17 Share Posted March 23, 2005 Catagory 11 has jetted tubs Victory...
sandytoesrose Posted March 23, 2005 #18 Share Posted March 23, 2005 Most of the standard outside or balcony cabins on the Holland American Line ships have bathtubs. That's a lot of bathtubs - and you don't need to book a suite!
