Musingin50mm Posted July 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2011 We took the train to visit the Scwerine Castle on our own. It was a very relaxing day trip. See link for pictures of the castle and its garden: http://effli.wordpress.com/2011/07/19/stop-2-warnemunde-shwerin-germany/

doctrd Posted July 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2011 Fantastic photos! Love the food, and that shot of the bike riders...amazing. How was the inside of the castle? Did you think it was worth the trip? How long did it take to get there? Did you have to change trains? Thanks for the idea at that port stop, we did not want to go to Berlin either... Musingin50mm Posted July 29, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted July 29, 2011 We didn't visit the inside of the castle. My family prefers open spaces, especially in the summer. It takes about an hour to get there. You do have to change train once, at Rostock HbF. We enjoyed it and thought it was worthwhile.
