Twibbs Posted July 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2011 We're going on the Valor for our honeymoon in December. I LOVE the food in the dining room. I'm gluten-free, and they pulled off some amazing stuff for me last time (mmmm...crab cakes). Does anyone know if they can do the same thing in the steakhouse? I'd hate to book it, then learn I'd be better off in the dining room. Is the steakhouse worth the money in general?
golfadj Posted July 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Should not be a problem. When you make the reservation tell them and when you get there ask to speak to the chef. We go like every other cruise and think the extra cost of $ 30 is worthwhile. Remember you are already paying for a very nice meal in the DR. Twibbs Posted July 19, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Remember you are already paying for a very nice meal in the DR. Thanks. This is why I'm wondering if it would be worth the money. We'll probably decide once we're on board.
golfadj Posted July 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2011 Lately it depends upon our tablemates in DR. If we like them generally we do not do the steak house. However it is worth doing at least once for the experience.
