Port Canaveral car rental

Is Cocoa Beach the correct dropoff/pickup destination for rental cars to/from Port Canaveral? I'm not getting anywhere using Port Canaveral to search for rentals. Do the rental agencies provide shuttle service to the ship?

Yes, Cocoa Beach is 5-10 minutes from Port Canaveral. Not sure about shuttles, I'm local. But I can tell you that cab fare will run about $7 for two people.

We used AVIS out of Coco Beach on the 19th coming off the Glory. They have continuous shuttle service from the port to their facility about every 20 minutes or so. Very nice people.

Avis and Budget both have shuttles to and from the ships. If you are searching try using the city Cape Canaveral not Port Canaveral.

We are using Budget, but remember, it it Cape Canaveral, not Port. If you are staying at the Radisson, Budget is within walking distance. All the rental agencies I checked with in the area do offer shuttle services to the port.

I've checked both Avis and Budget. Are both about the same in terms of service, etc.? I know that Budget is closer to the port, correct? Near the Radisson? In terms of price Budget is cheaper by a dollar or so. $36-37 for a full-size car for 24 hours...pick up at Orlando Airport, drop off at Cocoa Beach/Port Canaveral.
