venice--do I need advance tickets-Doges Palace?

OK, if you are going to Rome, you could apply for the Scavi tour under St Peters.

This was a very interesting trip and you get to see what and where St Peters is built on, including the actual tomb of St Peter.

 

I say apply as there is no guarantee that you will be accepted.

OK here's another question regarding pre-purchased tickets:

 

As I understand it, the Secret Itinerary tour of Doges Palace also includes access to the other "normal" areas of Doges palace, but since Doges is 1 of the 4 museums of St Mark's Square, does the SI ticket also get you into the other 3 St Mark's museums?
