Adding a Passenger

How late can you add someone to your cabin? We're in a mini suite (just 2 of us). Our 22 yr old daughter may be able to come along. We're on the 4/10 Golden. Anyone ever do this? If so, how close to sail date can it be done.

I know there's that 72 hour rule, that they have to have their passenger manifest into Homeland Security or whoever it is 72 hours before sailing, but I would imagine before that you can do it. My parents once booked a cruise less than a week before sailing, so I would imagine you still have some time for the 4/10 sailing.
