BTraveling47 Posted August 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2011 We will be cruising to Alaska on the Infinity in May (flying in from Boston the day before) and have read all the comments on CC about how disorganized embarkation can be at the Bell St. Pier. We've cruised out of Boston, NYC, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, arriving at the pier around 11am -- never had this experience. Definitely want to avoid it in Seattle !! What is the best time to arrive ? CanWeGoYet? Posted August 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2011 I have only cruised out of that location once, but we didn't notice any problems. I think we didn't get there until 12 or so, maybe 12:30. Too many stops on the way down at stores & I forgot some stuff at my house so we had to head back once. There was a line in the cruise center but it moved pretty quickly. A porter walked up immediately as we were dropped off and took our bags. SeattleCruiselover Posted August 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2011 I never arrive later than 10:00, so as to be near the front of the line and have less of a wait time before boarding, but that is just personal habit. From having worked at Pier 66 as a port agent, I can say that after 12:00 is the busiest time of the day, and I would avoid it, were it me.
