Leafs Fan Posted August 25, 2011 #1 Share Posted August 25, 2011 We are sailing into San Juan the week of January 22 2012 on the Navigator. We arrive at 8 am and depart at 2pm. What is there to do in this short period of time. I heard the Fort is something to see. Does anyone know how long it takes to get there and tour? Or have any other suggestions for a short stay. Cheers

Cheers Luckily, you will dock right in the heart of Old San Juan. It is a very scenic historic city that is great for walking. There are a couple of forts within walking distance of the port. You can also hop onto a trolley that circles the city. There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by also. I would get a good walking map (available at most of the gift shops) and head for the places that look interesting. Old San Juan is a very pretty city and a great place to spend a day. The closest fort is only a few minute walk (to the left of the port), El Morro is about 15 minutes by foot. The only neighborhood that you want to avoid is La Perla.
