Aren't aft rooms at the back of the ship?

Why are the Pearl garden villas (14000, 14500)considered aft staterooms when they are not at the back of the ship?

On NCL's website, they are referred to as "Mid" for Midships, which is correct for their location. Where did you see them stated as Aft staterooms?

On my guest ticket contract I printed out with my edocs it has "stateroom: 14500 - aft" printed. I was just curious why it said that.

Because the luggage is loaded thru the aft hatch rather then forward hatch. There is no midship hatch.

Good to know. I always wondered why the tags for my "mid ship" cabins had either AFT for Forward on them. :) Gotta love the information available on these boards.
