Gramsk Posted April 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2004 Are the casinos open on the ships that cruise Hawaii?
Neon Coaster Posted April 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2004 No...Hawaiian law forbids gaming equipment, etc. on ships that originate and terminate (as NCL does) in Hawaii.
bambam Posted April 12, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2004 If you are cruising from Mexico or Vancouver to Hawaii, the casinos are open until you get to Hawaiian waters. Since the Star was based in Honolulu, there were no casinos on-board, and they only played Bingo and crackits on the way to and from Fanning (due to engine-pod problems, the Star won't be doing the Fanning thing anymore either). Besides, Hawaii is too beautiful to spend time in a casino... BAMnJAM Carnival Imagingation '96 RCC Majesty '98 Sun Princess '00 NCL Star '04 Proud member (x2) of the PPS - yeah!!
