Luggage reclaim in Barbados

We are off on the dream on the 1st off January.Can anyone tell me what happens with our suitcases on arrival in Barbados.Do we claim our cases at the airport or are they taken directly to the ship.Thanks in advance,Jamie.

Never flown to Barbados airport before but when we went to the Caribbean previously we arrived in the Dominican Republic, We checked in our baggage at Manchester airport and did not see it again until we arrived at our cabin on the ship.

As we are going on the Dream Christmas getaway I am hoping it is the same procedure on arrival in Barbados, no messing about at the airport.:)

Thanks for that,last year we were on the transatlantic crossing and flew home from Dominica.When we left the ship we never saw our luggage until Glasgow.Can you post when you arrive home from Barbados and let me know if the procedure is the same.

Hi, Last year when we landed in Barbados all cruise passengers boarded mini buses straight from the plane to the ship.So no need to enter the terminal building, the first time we see our luggage was outside the cabin onboard.

We have flown to Barbados on cruises with Princess and Fred Olsen and both times we put our cases in at Gatwick and the next time we saw them, it was in the cabin. Good job too as the airport is not very nice - very hot and the staff very rude, searching our bags (and us) when we came back. Mind you the second time we came back from Jamaica and that was even worse:(

 

Kruzseeka will confirm about the luggage, as she has already been. We are off on the Dream in February, so looking forward to reading the reviews.:)

We are flying to Barbados on the 12th Feb but are staying there for a week before joining the Tropical delights cruise. Does anybody know if we will have to go through the airport or what is the proceedure once landed.

Sorry, don't know the answer to that, but we shall be on our first week when you board the ship:)
