I just now got a call from Carnival about the Elation getting into New Orleans late tomorrow. I was told (recording) not to arrive before 2:30 and the ship would not sail until 6:00PM For us that means we will leave here around 8:00am & get to NO about 1-1:30 depends on how long we stop for lunch...Just a heads up for anyone sailing. They said it would be posted on Carnival.com but so far no post.

My marine reports say the Carnival Elation will not arrive in New Orleans until 12:00 Noon tomorrow. It did not give any other information. Its making 22 kts right now off the coast of FL, However the seas off the LA coast are rough out here in the Gulf Of Mexico slowing a lot of traffic down.

Carnival Elation

Speed: 22 kts

Draught: 8 m

Destination: NEW ORLEANS

ETA: 2011-11-05 12:00

Info Received: 2011-11-04 07:20 (0d, 13h 10min 33s ago)

Now I am hearing from an email about the Elation being late Saturday due to propulsion issues. Which is funny the ships top speed is 21 Knts and its doing 22.2 kts as of this morning.
