Excursion Payment Question Nor. Dawn

i am going on the May 16 sailing of the dawn and i was wondering if any one knew what method of payment can be used for the excursions, i guess what i am asking: are excursions charged to your onboard account or can you pay cash if you want ???

From what I have read I understand that you give them a credit card for your shipboard account once you embark and all transactions are billed to your shipboard account. It says that the shore excursions will be billed to your onboard account. I don't see why at the end of the cruise you can't pay for some or all excursions in cash once you get your bill. I called Norwegian Shore Excursion Dept and they were very helpful, I am sure they will be able to answer you if you need an answer right away or the shore excursion person on board will be able to help you.

You can also setup your onboard account with cash instead of a credit card but they will require at least 300$ and each time you spend this amount (or half of it, can't remember) they will ask you to go to the front desk to give another deposit. The best way is to give your credit card number. At the end, you can go to the accounting and pay your bill cash but I heard there is long lines due to passengers having questions or troubles with their onboard account.

Go the night before you dock and put whatever money you want on your bill (towards your credit card). I did that and had no problem whatsoever.

I am quite disappointed that we can not charge the excursions on our own credit caed before the cruise. I guess I was just used to that nice feature from another line. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif[/img]

No, on the Dawn you couldn't access your account on TV. I liked that when we were on Celebrity you could do that.
