I will be traveling to the Baltic countries this summer on the dream and would appreciaited some information on the quality of the shore excursions that the ship offers- as compared to other alternatives. Also is the side trip to
Moscow worth it? Do you still have time to see st Petersburg on the second day if you go to Moscow? Should I travel the Kiel Cannal or take side trip offered? Any other tips? Thanks.

RAK you are in for the adventure of a lifetime! We did this cruise June 2003 and had a wonderful time. Stay on the ship going through the Keil Canal. The scenery is beautiful plus people lined the shore and bridges we passed under and waved American flags, and cheered us on our way. We were told this is the Dream's German fan club. Those that went on the side trip were not impressed. We chose the Dream because of the Keil experience and it was well worth it. St. Petersburg is overwhelming, We did the Hermitage to see the art, however the building is so beautiful and huge the art became the secondary attraction. We also did a city tour that stopped at the Church of the Spilled Blood, the best shopping in town. Evening found us at the ballet Swan Lake, another wow excursion! That was day one. The second day we went to Peterhoff, another fantastic excursion. Afternoon of the second day a troup of folk dancers came on to the ship and performed. Don't miss that show. Copenhagen and Stockholm were our next favorite ports. We also stayed over in London and took the Chunnel train to Paris. The only complaint we had about the Dream was the lack of adequate late evening snacks available after evening tours. This trip was more exciting than cruising Alaska or the Panama Canal. Wish I was going with you!!
