Upgrades for new cruisers?

Hello Everyone!!

Everyone keeps talking about their great upgrades. We are sailing on the Dawn on May 16th 2004, and have only been offered an upgrade from our Balcony guarantee to an AB penthouse for $850.00 a person. Are we out of the loop because this is our first cruise??
Should we keep our hopes up? Or move on?? :-) Any info would be great! Thanks!!

Well do you want to spent another $1700.00 for your trip. I would not do it to much money!

that the question, if you don't mind & you think it a fair price go for it.
I think it alot but your getting the penthouse which is top of the line.
