Geobugs Posted May 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 2, 2004 Does anyone have experience with them? Do they take MBNA Compass reward certificate? Are they legit?
DBI0530 Posted May 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 2, 2004 We used them, and they are legit, but totally inflexible. Once winning an auction, you need to book your trip, and that is it, no changes, cancellations, etc. The only variable would be if you purchase the insurance, and need to put a claim in on that. I am not going to go that route again, I need more flexibility, but it works well for others. Good luck!
SecondMate Posted May 3, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2004 We have some friends whose jobs afford them total flexibility, and they've gotten some incredible deals from Skyauction...like a round-trip cruise for two from Buenos Aires to Antarctica for like $600, including airfare. If you can stand the heart palpitations, go for it!
Luna'sMom Posted May 3, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 3, 2004 I also have used them and I was very hesitant, but everthing was in order and I did not have any problems at all. Make sure you know the prices for the cruise that you want to go on because I have seen auctions for much more than you would have paid a TA.
