South Friars beach

Has anyone else gone to this beach recently? What can we expect to pay for transportation via cab? Are you required to have your cab driver wait for you? Trying to decide how to spend our time at St. Kitts-any other suggestions?

Would love to hear some opinions as to which beach on St. Kitts, may be most enjoyable for a family of five. The children's ages range from 9-17.

We went to South Friars in March and had a nice day. Very nice cab driver ....charged us, I think, $6pp. When driving up to the beach you think....where in the world are we going!? But it's OK. There are vendors' tents all along. We rented chairs and umbrellas there and even got beer for $1.00. The vendors leave you alone. You can get food there if you like.....even lobster. The kids would be fine there. Our cab driver came back for us at the time we specified and even stopped for the most beautiful photo op on the way back to the ship. I use that for my screen saver now. I want to go back to St. Kitts!!

Please help!

We will be in St. Kitts Nov 7. With 2 boys (11-14) looking to go to South Friars or South Frigate Beach. Not sure which to choose for a great beach and snorkeling. And does anyone know which beach rent jetski's. Thanks
