Port or starboard for cruise to Canary Islands?

I know that very often it doesn't really matter whether you choose a port or starboard balcony cabin.

But as there are still so many cabins open to book on the cruises on "NCL Jade" I wondered if any of those who have been to one of these cruises in December or January might point out the advantages or disadvantages of choosing one or the other.

We are considering cat. BA midships - are there any cabins one should avoid??

Thank you for your help.

We find that, unless you cruise through a Fjord or canal, you are too far offshore to see any detail on land. Therefore it doesn't matter what side you are on. That is one of the reasons why we always cruise in an AFT cabin. We are never on the 'wrong' side, and we have no wind on our balcony. On a port-intensive cruise that may not matter, but on a cruise with many sea days or trans-Atlantic, it is very important.
