Rollerblades instead of walking

On some of the islands (San Juan, St Thomas, Grenada, Margarita Island) my husband and I are planning to do some self guided walking tours. I was just wondering if it would be benificial to bring my rollerblades or not. Anyone have any comments?

Caribbean islands aren't known for stretches of good asphalt ("Caribbean landscaping" tends to include features like ruts, holes, piles of building materials, leftover pavers, pavement that ends suddenly etc.) The Harborsight area of St.Thomas will be fine, but I'm not sure you'll find your rollerblades all that useful on the islands.
