radiofreebc Posted April 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2005 On May 8, 2003 I was onboard the Radiance of the Seas as she transited the Panama Canal from east-to-west. I shot this video from the ship's bridge throughout the day, and I have posted it on http://www.CruiseJournals.com for all to see. You'll find it in the "Downloads" section, and it's pretty fun to watch. It's a time-lapse of the entire transit from beginning to end, and it takes less than 2 minutes to see the whole transit. Very fun to watch. You'll want to watch it a few times, I can guarantee it. You will need QuickTime to view it...sorry, no Windows Media or RealPlayer. CruiseJournals uses QuickTime exclusively for all online video content. QuickTime is available free here: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ The video also captures a very extreme weather day in the canal. The rain was very heavy at times and adds a great element to the video. Have a look, and share the link with anyone who may be going on a Panama Canal cruise...or is just interested in seeing the process of transiting this modern wonder of the world. http://www.cruisejournals.com I would like to thank CHUM Television Canada (http://thenewvi.com) for providing the facilities to digitally process this video.
