Land tour options--help!

Down to deciding on the land tour portion for Alaska cruise on HAL southbound from Seward. Both choices end up on same ship same day.

1. Fly to Fairbanks, overnight and 1 day there. McKinley Exporer to Denali for 1 night there and morning before cont on to Anchorage for an overnight. Coach to Seward next morning to board ship at lunch, time to explore Seward a little.

Like the way travels are broken up somewhat.

2. Fly to Anchorage for overnight. In am McKinley Explorer to Denali for 2 nights. includes TWT next day. Then day after coach to Seward ( ?10hrs) to board ship.

Cant get around a lot of traveling but want to enjoy it. We are in our 60's. Any thoughts about best option?

It would be superior if you copied and posted the two itineraries. Do both have the Tundra Wilderness tour included at Denali park?

 

The first itinerary IF it includes the Tundra Wilderness at least offers you time for Seward. But I would only, suggest ditching the cruisetour in Anchorage and getting yourself on the am train, and into Seward in time for some excellent touring, and NOT have it a priority to have "lunch on the ship". Seward is a gem, loaded with excellent touring options with Kenai Fjords a top choice. Needs at least a 6 hour boat tour, loaded with varied wildlife, close up glacier viewing- ALL grossly superior to anything seen from your cruiseship. Depends how you want to spend your time with only a short cruisetour choice?? Neither is ideal.

Thanks for your thoughts. Lunch on the ship isn't a priority I just liked getting there earlier in the day rather than 6pm or so with the coach from Denali. Will check into getting on the early train.
