on RCCL they offer discounts and OBC. does Disney offer anything?

They offer the same thing. Some people swear by booking on board since DCL doesn't offer many discounts. I believe its 10% off plus OBC.

 

The advantage is that you can book the cheapest date and stateroom you can while at sea, then make the changes you need(dates, more people, better stateroom etc.) later on when you know when and where you want to travel and the discount will still apply.

I also believe the deposit is only 10% vs. the normal 20%.

You do get 10% off, an OBC depending on the length of the cruise, and usually you pay a 10% deposit.
