Questrion-Phone calls from ship in Jamaica?

Unfortunately I will have to participate in a conference call back to the States while my ship is in Falmouth Jamaica. :( I really dont like working on vacation and I know it will cost a bundle but I don't have a choice. My question is how to make the call? Can I make if from the ship or do I need to go ashore? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could call from the ship's phones, but that would be pricey. I don't know what cell phone system the use in Jamaica, CDMA or GSM... possibly you could call while in port on your cell if you have a compatible phone. I would think they would have an internet cafe/phone center on or near the pier area where you may be able to buy a block of minutes. That would not be too expensive.

I'd also consider skype-ing in from an internet cafe onshore. Anything onshore should be cheaper and more reliable than onboard, I'd imagine.
