We have one day in Funchal on Good friday and am wondering if trips/tours/events be affected by the Easter holidays? Can anyone advise please?

Baileygirls, tour operators work on Good Friday, so you'll have no problem taking a tour.

Is everything open on good Friday ? I.e cable car , toboggans , markets , shops , etc ?

 

Any if so are they open normal or short hours ?

The market and most shops will be closed. I think the cable car will be working normally and I'm not sure about the Toboggan. I'm not at home at the moment, but when I'm back I'll call both to ask.

The cable car will be operating normally on Good Friday, in fact the lady said they only close on Christmas Day.

 

The Toboggans always close on Good Friday, but considering the fact that there will be two cruise ships at the pier this year, they're still going to decide.
