Baileygirls Posted March 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2012 We have one day in Funchal on Good friday and am wondering if trips/tours/events be affected by the Easter holidays? Can anyone advise please?
biaria Posted March 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2012 Baileygirls, tour operators work on Good Friday, so you'll have no problem taking a tour.

biaria Posted March 13, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2012 Hi lee, The market and most shops will be closed. I think the cable car will be working normally and I'm not sure about the Toboggan. I'm not at home at the moment, but when I'm back I'll call both to ask.
biaria Posted March 22, 2012 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Hi again Lee, The cable car will be operating normally on Good Friday, in fact the lady said they only close on Christmas Day. The Toboggans always close on Good Friday, but considering the fact that there will be two cruise ships at the pier this year, they're still going to decide.
