Need some help fast!

I never did the upgrade to guarantee balcony the other day...well now level d2 for our cruise has dropped to $449! SO I could upgrade to that for $180. What is a d2? And what would the best cabin be out of these? I think I am going to do it...

well, nevermind that. apparently this deal is only for new bookings and not upgrades...so we don't qualify. I am new to all of this but geez that doesn't sound fair.

If its later than the 70 days... you could cancel and rebook. Just sayin... :)

We leave in 8 days. I asked if I could cancel and re-book but no can do (I bought extra travel insurance). Oh well.

Let me throw my 2 cents in here. My understanding is that you can upgrade at any time even if it says New bookings only. They did change it.

I would recommend your calling and saying that you want to upgrade and tell them the cabin you want. See what they say. Does not cost anything.

I booked through cruises dot com and they called RCI. RCI told them I was not able to upgrade, period. I called twice. I am so bummed.

RCI asked them if I was something or other member (cruised previously) and I told her that no, we have never cruised and this is our first. Not sure if that had something to do with it.

Then they told me it would be $500 and something per PERSON to upgrade. Even though the room is selling for $449 right now.
