El Cozumeleno Resort Day Pass-Guests extremely ill

We are booked through Island Marketing for the Resort Day Pass at El Cozumeleno in Cozumel on April 6th. Last night I was reading the reviews for this resort on the Trip advisor website and a little worried. There were numerous guest of the resort that became extremely ill with severe vomiting and diarrhea. Sounds like all the guests were there within the same time frame which was less then a week ago. The reviews were saying things like it was ecoli or a norovirus. Has anyone visited this resort? Is this something I should be worried about? I am wondering if we should cancel and lose our deposit.
