Question re Booking Currency

Recommended Posts

Hi all- long time lurker, first time poster. =)

I am looking at booking our second RCCL cruise, but have noticed a discrepancy in the pricing. In EUR (my local currency), the cruise is quite a bit more (+$100) more than if I change the currency on the website into USD.

My question is, with a European address, am I required to book in Euros or can I make the reservation in USD?

Thanks all for the great site, I love reading all of the info here!

You might be able to find a travel agent in the US that will book you. But I caution you - there are consumer rights you will lose if you book out of the US offices. You will be subject to the US consumer Cruise Ticket Contract and will lose a lot of protections that are built into the European consumer Cruise Ticket Contract.

Do this at your own risk that nothing will go wrong.
