Moped Rental on Santorini

Hi - we're interested about renting mopeds on Santorini but are a little confused about the licensing requirements. The site says "International Moped License" but checking with our local licensing agency, they don't issue licenses for anything under 50 CC it's just a normal drivers license.

 

Does anyone have any experience with the rental requirements and what they'll accept?

What license??! There are scooter rental stands everywhere in the Greek islands, and I don't think there's much ado about licenses. We rented in Mykonos and the vendor didn't even look at my US state DL. Just a point to consider, it is generally agreed that zipping around on mopeds is easier/safer on Mykonos than on Santorini, so if you don't have motorcycle or scooter experience and you will also be making the Mykonos stop, you might want to consider Mykonos. Whatever, we had a ball. It will get you all over!
